Parents are an integral part of making CEC a success.

We see parents as an integral part of CEC’s success, so we encourage a high level of parent participation. Volunteer opportunities include serving on the CEC Board of Directors, functioning as classroom coordinator, and/or volunteering time and effort for special events or workdays.

Communication of School Activities and Events

We value the important role parents play in the school’s success, and we work hard to keep parents informed of their child’s progress and of school activities. Our most important communication tool is Parent Conversations. Parent Conversations provide opportunities for parents and teachers to discuss each child’s progress throughout the school year. Parent Conversations are held once during the fall semester and once in the spring. Teachers are also available for conferences on an as-needed basis.

Due to increasing environmental concerns amongst our parents and staff, CEC has made a strong effort to “go green.” As a part of our efforts, most communication about school activities is provided via email. We also notify parents of upcoming events via the school calendar as well as CEC’s monthly newsletter. The calendar and the newsletter are transmitted electronically and are available at all times on our web site.
