Discovery Learning at CEC

We believe that Discovery Learning at CEC consists of:
1. Learning by discovery along with teacher initiated activities.
2. Encouraging children to be spontaneous and creative while at the same time teaching respect for others.
3. Allowing children to manage their own learning.
4. Knowing that children learn what seems important and interesting to them.
5. Providing a broad spectrum of activities within the child's chronological and developmental age.
6. Involving the whole child in the learning process - physical, emotional and intellectual.
7. Taking time to reflect on what is happening in the midst of a learning experience.
8. Being flexible enough to allow children to become who they are rather than trying to mold them into a predetermined role.
